Maruti suzuki new car ik2 Launching

At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Suzuki has taken the wraps off the iK-2 concept that previews a production car, which will also launch in India. The company confirmed today that the iK-2 will be released in Europe in early 2020 December


The Suzuki iK-2 Concept is a precursor to an upcoming Maruti hatchback, codenamed YRA. It will sit above the top-selling Swift hatchback, and its design will draw heavy influence from it.

Suzuki says the iK-2 is “an ideal compact car” with “Liquid Flow” as its central theme. The company adds that the iK-2 “raises compact car values to the limit”. It sports a production-ready design that has a sense of familiarity in every angle. The main highlights of the front-end are the U-shaped grille that swoops from the headlights, and a conventional-looking front bumper with fog lamps.

Similar to the Swift, the iK-2 also has a blackened A-pillar, large alloy rims, and muscular lines running across the top portion of the side profile. The concept also features wide fenders, although this design touch might not make it to production.

Yesterday, Nissan India announced that it had now started production of the upcoming Magnite SUV in India. Another important detail we learned yesterday about the Nissan Magnite SUV is the variants on offer. Yep, the Japanese automaker has now officially shared the Nissan Magnite's variant list along with the features that will be on offer. First things first -- the upcoming SUV in India will be available across four trim levels, namely, XE, XL, XV, and XV (Premium). Now, let's explore these variants in depth, shall we?

Nissan Magnite XE

First up is the base trim level: XE; this one will come equipped with the most basic provisions, course. The list of features will include halogen headlamp, roof rails, 16-inch steel wheel, A/C, semi-digital instrument panel, four power windows, etc. It will essentially be a bare bones kind of model, given that it doesn't even get an elementary 2-DIN integrated audio system, speakers, etc. This will allow Nissan Magnite's price to start at a very competitive point.

Nissan Magnite XL

The XL trim's list of provisions will obviously be a tad better than that of XE. This one will come equipped with all of Nissan Magnite XE's provisions and also things such 16-inch steel wheels with dual tone cover, front and rear speakers, 2-DIN integrated audio system, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity, audio and telephony controls on the steering wheel, automatic AC with heater, etc.

This one adds a lot of provisions, including LED DRLs, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheel, seat back pocket, floating eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a multifunction seven-inch TFT Advanced Drive Assist display, and an engine start with push Button start/stop among other things.

Nissan Magnite XV (Premium)


Finally, the top-end model, i.e. XV (Premium). This one will be, of course, the most loaded of the lot. Nissan will offer provisions such as LED bi-projector headlamp, Saberstyle LED turn indicator in headlamp, premium embossed black fabric with synthetic leather accent for the seats, front centre armrest, Around View Monitor, cruise control, etc. Nissan will also offer an optional Tech pack with the Magnite XV (Premium) which will include the following: wireless charger, air purifier, JBL speakers, LED scuff plate, ambient mood lighting, and puddle lamps.
