DR Automobiles is an Italian company that uses Chinese components from the likes of Chery in order to build its own cars. Their latest and arguably most interesting product as far as future tech is concerned, is the DR3 EV.
This is an all-electric vehicle. Power comes from a 54.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack comprised of 24 modules, weighing in at 385 kg. According to DR, this small crossover is capable of driving for over 400 km in-between charges.
DR also says that if you manage to keep a consistent speed of 60 km/h, you might even be able to cover 500 km, which would make for an impressive achievement. Speaking of impressive, charging your DR3 EV at home will take between 6 to 8 hours, however if you use a fast charger, you can boost your batteries back up to 80% in just half an hour.
The output is rated at 122 PS, with the driver able to switch between Eco and Sport modes on the move. While a 0-100 km/h time wasn't released. The DR3 EV can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in four seconds flat, with power going exclusively to the front wheels.
Like the automaker's regular DR3 model, this electric version also measures 4.2 meters in length, 1.76 meters in width and stands 1.57 meters tall. Inside, there's a relatively modern dual-tone white and blue interior, with a digital gauge cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system and a rotary dial selector for the transmission.
