Of all of the various cars we’ve tested & driven since starting our channel, the Mercedes Maybach S560 is one of the best examples of an all-in-one package. Everything you could ever want or desire in an automobile is implemented into this car, whether it be performance, luxury features, technology, safety, comfort, the S560 Maybach truly has it all. This example is currently being offered for sale by @luxsportmotorgroup and is finished in a beautiful ‘Black Obsidian Metallic’ exterior over a ‘Nut Brown’ interior. The Maybach name originally came to life in 1909 when German engine designer & industrialist founded the company with his son. After a long history of building engines, parts & even cars (around 1800 Maybachs were built before world war 2), Maybach would eventually be acquired by Daimler-Benz in 1960. After a long history of producing cars both with the Mercedes company & a standalone ultra-luxury auto brand, eventually, Maybach would officially become a sub-brand of the Mercedes-Benz S class, with the first ever production (W222) Maybach S-Class (S600) debuting in 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show. Without all of this history, we would not ever see the car we have pictured here today. The 2019 model year saw a mid-cycle refresh that was first introduced in 2017, offering newly
enhanced technology, updated autonomous driving capabilities, a few exterior changes & more. Between the two available trims for the Maybach, the major difference between the S560 model & the S650 is the engine that lives underneath their hoods. This car, the S560 is powered by a 4.0L V8 that produces 463 horsepower, however, if you’re looking for even more power, the S650 comes packed with a 6.0L V12 that’s capable of 621 horsepower. No matter which option, both are some of the purest examples of luxury sedans & with the combined performance aspect, it’s an almost-perfect car.
