The third-generation Toyota Auris was introduced in March 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show. In the United States and Australia, this car is called the Corolla Hatchback while in Japan, this car is called the Corolla Sport, which was launched on June 27, 2018. Since 2019, the name Auris was no longer used when the Corolla Hatchback began to be marketed in Europe.

The new generation Auris is also the first Toyota model to be offered in two hybrid system configuration options. First, the 1.8 liter engine and electric motor, powered 120 hp, the same as those used by Pirus and C-HR. Second, the 2.0-liter engine combined with an electric motor, powered up to 178 hp. Also, there is a choice of a 1.2 liter turbo engine powered 114 hp for the lowest variant. Meanwhile, diesel variants available in the previous generation, are now officially removed.
