If Volkswagen's three-row Atlas seems like a little too boxy, take a look at the swoopier Atlas Cross Sport. Offering seating for five with room to spare for cargo, the Cross Sport is only slightly less family friendly than the seven-seat Atlas. Buyers can choose from either a 235-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder or the 276-hp 3.6-liter V-6; front-wheel drive is standard but VW's 4Motion all-wheel drive is available. The Cross Sport's steeply raked rear window and coupe-like roofline make it the more stylish Atlas, but rivals such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Honda Passport offer a more rugged image.
