Skoda cars are some of the best practical cars that you will find in the market. The Skoda Kamiq in fact stands to be better than the VW T-Roc. The Skoda Kamiq shares a lot of its part from the Volkswagen and Audi. Which is why you would see a lot of similarities between them. The only thing that makes the Kamiq different is that it is more practical, spacious and affordable to own. The particular that I reviewed was the Skoda Kamiq Sportline.

The 2021 Skoda Kamiq is powered by a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder engine that produces 109 bhp and 155 Nm of torque. While the engine is mated to a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission. The engine tends to feel a little underpowered on occasions when you need the power to get away from the traffic or overtake on road. Also, the gearing ratios feel a little short and hence it feels short of a couple of gears.

On the inside, there is an 8-inch Bolero infotainment system which is quite sufficient for the segment. It relatively fast and has simple easy to understand options. The feature that stands out is the panoramic sunroof which though doesn't open but gives a very roomy feeling inside the cabin. The best part of the Skoda Kamiq is that you get plenty of standard equipment in all the models. Skoda UAE has introduced three different variants of the Kamiq 2021.

The Skoda Kamiq competes directly with the Nissan Juke, VW T-Roc, Renault Captur and Hyundai Kona.
