2024 BMW 5 Series LWB review - the best luxury car under 1 cr? @odmag

At Rs 72.90 lakh, what seals the deal for the BMW 5 Series LWB is it price. But here we go deep into what it is otherwise like.

In this review, we take you through the new 2024 BMW 5 Series long wheelbase by focusing on its interiors, features, dimensions, and driving impressions. We also see how the new 5 Series performs in our real-world mileage and performance tests.

The BMW 530Li is an India-specific LWB iteration of the new eight-generation model. The 5 Series LWB is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol that makes 258PS and 400 Nm, now paired with an 11Ps and 25 Nm 48V mild-hybrid system. The 8-speed ZF gearbox has been updated too. The chassis remains the same, but it has new steering and suspension tuning.

The 5 Series has become notably larger overall being 212mm longer, 32mm wider and 41mm taller. The wheelbase has grown by 130mm.

Notable features in the 5 Series LWB include leatherette upholstery, the 18-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio set-up, matrix LED lighting, two interior trim options, four-zone climate control, a PM 2.5 air filter and ventilated front seats as highlights.

You get a good deal of ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure and forward collision avoidance, blind spot monitoring and rear collision avoidance. There’s a clear set of 360-degree cameras and the reversing assistant. A remote parking feature via smartphone has also been added.
