How do active anti-roll bars work? How do electronic sway bars work? Active sway bars make use of an electric motor (or hydraulics) in order to provide additional torque to the sway bar when necessary, to prevent a car from experiencing high body roll. These roll bars make use of various sensors, steering input, and accelerometers to ensure the car body remains flat while cornering, improving handling and stability.
