CUPRA confirmed today, during the company's press conference at CASA SEAT, the arrival of a model that will change the perception of dynamism among electric-powered vehicles. Since its presentation at the Geneva Motor Show last year, the Concept Car el-Born had attracted attention for its refined design and personality. The design team and the brand's Technical Center were not satisfied with the good reviews received and continued to evolve the Concept Car, giving it a sportier character and an even more impressive design. The result has been the birth of the brand's first 100% electric model: the CUPRA el-Born.

CUPRA CEO Wayne Griffiths stated that “CUPRA el-Born showcases all the genes of the CUPRA brand and we have taken the original concept to the next level by creating a new sporty, dynamic design and redesigning the technology content. CUPRA el-Born is proof that performance and electrification go together perfectly ”.

The high performance and dynamism of the CUPRA el-Born have been a clear focus in the development of the vehicle, offering instant acceleration from 0 to 50 km / h in just 2.9 seconds. The Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) has been developed exclusively with the specific setting 'Sport' on the MEB platform, for the CUPRA el-Born. Thus, it not only offers different options for adjusting the firmness of the shock absorbers, but also guarantees the highest level of dynamism for an electrically powered vehicle.

The CUPRA el-Born also has the latest technology, offering elements such as the Head-up Display with augmented reality. Likewise, you can travel up to 500 km on a single charge, thanks to its 77 kWh battery of useful capacity (total capacity: 82kWh). In addition, thanks to the maximum charging power of the battery, with just 30 minutes of recharging, the CUPRA el-Born will be able to travel about 260 km.

The interior is designed to encompass the CUPRA philosophy, based on quality, high performance, and sophistication. These characteristics are perfectly reflected in the sports bucket seats, or in the new steering wheel with a button to select the driving modes and activate the CUPRA mode, as well as the high-quality materials. In addition to attention to detail and passion for quality, CUPRA has put a specific focus on the sustainability of el-Born, using recycled materials inside the vehicle.
