The BMW 7 Series is a full-size luxury sedan produced by the German automaker BMW since 1977. It is the successor to the BMW E3 "New Six" sedan and is currently in its sixth generation. The 7 Series is BMW's flagship car and is only available in a saloon bodystyle (including long wheelbase and limousine models). It traditionally introduces technologies and exterior design themes before they trickle down to other models in BMW's lineup. The sixth generation of the BMW 7 Series consists of the BMW G11 (sedan version) and BMW G12 (long-wheelbase sedan version) full-size luxury sedans. The G11/G12 generation has been produced from 2015 until the present, and is often collectively referred to as the G11.

The Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo, or Alpina B7, is the fifth generation of the high performance full-size luxury car manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Alpina. Based on the BMW 7 Series (G12), the B7 Bi-Turbo was introduced at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
