With regard to today’s topic, the customers that Dealers screw over the MOST are people they can control, but here you are with a notepad, and every time you open it, another challenging and intelligent question comes out. This notepad and these questions put the control clearly in YOUR hands. So today, I’m going to share with you some of our favorite questions that can shock a dealer into doing what you want, and deliver you a deal of a lifetime. As you can see, I have a small pocket sized notepad in my hand, and I am suggesting you get one. It will help you remember to use these questions, but the notepad also makes the dealer wonder what else is in there, every time you open it. You need the notepad, not just for notes, but it’s also an intimidation prop. These 10 notepad worthy questions are so good that you will definitely want to write them down so you don’t forget to ask them. Of course, it is best to ask these questions from the comfort of home, but if you’re that type of buyer who likes to go to a dealer to negotiate, make sure you get a notepad and write this stuff down. Take the notepad with you to the dealer, because these are questions that should ALWAYS be asked, and to help you, we’ve put them in the order they should be asked.
If you’re buying Used, ask “Will it be ok if i schedule a PPI prior to negotiating on the sale price? New car buyers can skip to question number 3. A PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) is an independent inspection conducted by a qualified mechanic or technician who is not affiliated with the dealership. It involves a thorough examination of the vehicle's mechanical, electrical, and structural components. By scheduling a PPI, you can identify any hidden issues, potential repairs, or existing damage that may not be immediately apparent. This information is critical to ensure you're not purchasing a car with costly problems that could surface soon after buying. A PPI also verifies Dealer Claims about the vehicle. Dealers may advertise a used car as being in "excellent" shape or "like-new" condition, but a PPI can verify if those claims are accurate. The inspection provides an unbiased, professional assessment of the car’s true condition, which is crucial for YOU making an informed purchase.

2.Again on a Used Vehicle: ask Can you provide me with a vehicle history report on this car? (like carfax or equifax) A vehicle history report can show whether the car has been in any accidents, the severity of those accidents, and whether the vehicle sustained significant damage (such as frame or structural damage). Knowing this information is vital because a car that has been in a major accident may have underlying issues, even if it appears fine on the surface. The report will also show if the car has any title issues, or any other status that could indicate significant problems. The vehicle could have been in a flood, which can cause extensive hidden damage. Knowing about these problems upfront prevents you from buying a car that besides reliability issues, may also have legal or financial complications.

3. For you Cash Buyers out there, early in the process, ask “If we agree on a price i’m willing to pay, and I were to make a sizeable down payment on this vehicle, do you accept a personal check? This is a good question to ask early, because if they say “Yes,” that answer tells you that you can just write a personal check to pay for the whole purchase when the time comes. And, MOST Dealers do accept personal checks. They are easily verified.
