Leaders au matin de la dernière étape du Rallye d’Allemagne, Dani Sordo et Carlos del Barrio ont été chercher à la force du poignet leur première victoire en Championnat du Monde du Rallyes. Citroën Racing remporte ainsi un douzième succès consécutif en Allemagne, le onzième dans le cadre du WRC. Grâce à la troisième place de Mikko Hirvonen et Jarmo Lehtinen, le Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team comble la majeure partie de son retard au Championnat Constructeurs.
