LSX Monsters has grown from a small hometown group in Northwest Louisiana, into an organization spread across the U.S. Many of the members have been asking for an LS track day, so the LSX Shootout was conceptualized and hosted at Thunder Road Raceway Park. We were fortunate enough to have Trent Durham and his family make the trip out from New Mexico to go up against some of the local monsters in his C5 DeathVette. This car is a phenomenal build and definitely a privilege to experience in person! After some tweaking, Trent got the car dialed in, but just hit boost a bit too hard in eliminations and broke loose mid-track. Thankfully Trent is an incredible driver and was able to keep it out of the wall.
C5 DeathVette is a 6.0L LQ9 block with forged internals, 88mm Borg Warner turbo with 26+lbs boost in addition to nitrous. Car is pushing 1200+RWHP!
