The Inter Proto Series (IPS) is a new racing series founded by Japanese racing legend Masanori Sekiya. Spoon Sports competes in this series with their Rigid Collar IPS "Kuruma". Drift King Keiichi Tsuchiya test drove the car at Fuji Speedway.
IPS is a one make series with only the "kuruma" competing. The kuruma has a mid mounted 3950cc NA V6 that makes 335bhp at 6400rpm weighing in around 1000kg.
The series goal was to focus on the racing driver and his ability. There are regulations to keep the costs down for entry and one of them is the one make concept to maintain the level of the cars as equal as possible.
