First look at the prototype Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 from Ford Performance, an all-electric purpose built drag car designed to run low 8s at 170 mph at the drag strip.
The Cobra Jet pays tribute to the original 1969 Cobra Jet Mustang that dominated drag strips in its day, and remains a legend.
The new all electric Ford Performance Cobra Jet drag car produces 1100 ft/lbs of torque instantly.

Following the debut of the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV – the first-ever, all-electric Mustang, the Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 prototype represents another opportunity to advance Mustang heritage and performance while simultaneously incorporating some of the most advanced technology coming to Ford’s future powertrains.
