In this video, I show you a rare Ferrari 599GTO. The 599GTO is a limited edition homologation special based on the 599GTB and HGTE models. The GTO (Grand Turismo Omologato) is limited to just 599 units, so is a rather exclusive car. The GTO badge was first seen on the 250GTO, a road going race car produced between 1962 and 1964, of which a mere 36 were made. The GTO name then reappeared in the 80's on the 288GTO, a homologation special based on the Ferrari 308GTB, and limited to 272 units, with the 599 GTO being the third car. At the time of release, the 599GTO was Ferrari's most powerful road going car, with an insane 661bhp, 11 more than the Enzo hypercar. Due to the incredible engineering and desirability of this car, they are still demanding anywhere from £480,000 to £700,000, with this 2,000 mile example you see here costing not far off the £700k mark, over twice what it was worth new. This is actually the second GTO I have seen, having seen a Grey one in London not too long ago, so I was really rather surprised to see another so soon. This example looks simply stunning in the traditional Ferrari Rosso Corsa paint scheme, with the grey wheels. Overall, a beast of a car. Hope you guys enjoy this video, thanks for watching.
