The all-new 2019 Subaru Forester 2.0L looks like a value proposition on paper. It comes with all the bells and whistles as well as the option for the full suite of Subaru EyeSight ADAS. TC Subaru managed to price it between RM 139k to RM 159k despite being fully imported from Thailand.

It doesn't look as sleek as the Mazda CX-5 nor does it have an exciting turbocharged engine like the Honda CR-V and Volkswagen Tiguan. So is value for money the only thing going for the all-new Forester?

Not quite, as we found out after taking it for a drive from Kuala Lumpur to Pahang through the twisty bits of Karak Highway, flat straights of LPT2 and even off-road at Most Fun Gym.
