Ford is sending shockwaves through the car market right now. Their recent decisions and actions speak louder than words. They are "quietly" sounding the alarms on the car market crash. Inventory levels are through the roof and Ford isn't doing enough. General Motors is selling much better... what is it they're doing that Ford isn't?
Here are the points I discuss in this video, let me know your thoughts. What am I missing?
- Global price wars due to over capacity…
- Supply has far exceeded demand.
- Dealers Turning away allocations.
- Inflated price tags left the consumer disinterested.
- Shareholders are left holding the bag.
- Stock is down.
- 40% MSRP price hikes since 2019.
- Manufacturers that outsourced production are kicking themselves… tariffs.
- Nobody wants the ford lightning… mach-e… ended production until next year.
- People are losing jobs…
- Huge layoffs… happening at Stellantis too.
- Tons of New 2024s available… many 23s.
- Interest rates are still garbage.
- 1/5 auto loans denied.
- Ford Dealerships are being liquidated…
- Many dealerships are actually losing money month to month right now.
- Floor costs.
- Ford is leading the pack with recalls right now…
- Ford dealers have no choice but to offer substantial discounts AND incentivized interest rates.
- The dealers that didn’t take advantage of people during the pandemic are benefiting greatly right now. Loyal customers.
- GM is far outperforming Ford right now… balancing production and incentives. GM knows how and when to cut losses.
- 2.8m new vehicles in US right now… a 4-year high.
- People are holding onto their used vehicles… they’re not upgrading every 3-5 years now. They’re fixing their older vehicles because it doesn’t make sense to buy new.
- Ford (like many manufacturers) was a lead offender of selling higher trimmed options to boost profit margins per unit.
Thank you for taking the time to tune in, I sincerely appreciate your support and continual engagement. I respectfully ask that you please consider Liking and Subscribing if you haven't already. Your support means a lot, thank you!
