We all know that Hyundai was a completely different brand name before the new millennium than it is today. The pre-2000s were not exactly the best of times for the Korean manufacturer, with constant recalls and quality issues being common. As Hyundai progressed, it got much better, standing as one of the best selling foreign brands in Philadelphia, Allentown, Bethlehem, Reading, PA; Trenton and Camden, NJ; and Wilmington, DE.

However, even through that dark period of time, one model stood out from the rest of the pack. The Accent was never exactly the most popular Hyundai model, but it was the most reputed, being noted for its high build quality and features list.
