Don't buy more car than you can afford, even if you can afford it. New cars are always a losing bargain. Buy used. Buy off Cars and Bids or Bring A Trailer. Buy off somebody's driveway with Venmo. Don't carry a potentially life-altering auto loan even if things are going great. And don't burn through your savings modding a project car. Just live within your means, even if that means you have to be a Kia Boy for a couple years.
