Broken wiper arms is a common problem in the winter months. If your wipers are active when they are frozen to the windshield, they can be damaged and become inoperative. They can also fail all on their own. That said, this video covers the basic steps and common problems you might run into if you have broken wipers. The vehicle is a 1998 Mazda 626 but the procedure is pretty common to most vehicles I've encountered. With a little time, effort, and common sense, you can have your wipers working again in no time.
I also cover the operation of the 'park' switch, which is responsible for the wipers coming to rest when you turn them off. This is also a common problem that is often solved by replacing the wiper motor.
Thanks for watching.
