The 1993 Mazda RX7 is a beloved and mechanically unique Japanese icon. It utilizes a lightweight yet powerful sequentially-turbocharged rotary engine, making a strong 255 horsepower from just 1.3 litres. And thanks to this light engine, along with Mazda’s obsession with saving weight, this ‘90’s high-revving sports coupe weighed very little from the factory. Today we have a near pristine example that is completely unmodified and has very low kilometers. So how is it to drive the legendary FD RX7 in like-new stock form?
