The all-electric Mazda MX-30 has been awarded the maximum five-star rating by Euro NCAP in its latest series of tests, with 91% and 87% scores in its respective adult and child occupancy categories. 91% is the best Adult Occupant Protection result yet registered amongst all vehicles tested in the latest 2020 Euro NCAP ratings.
The Mazda MX-30 achieved maximum points in lateral impact tests, as well as full marks for crash test performance based on 6 and 10 year old children for both frontal and lateral impact. The MX-30 is the first Mazda to achieve an overall five-star rating under the new, more stringent 2020 Euro NCAP crashworthiness ratings. The 2020 ratings introduce new tests to address some longstanding needs in occupant protection and improved post-crash protection, and to promote the latest advanced driver assistance technology.
The all-electric small-family SUV joins the CX-5 (2017), Mazda6 (2018), Mazda3 and CX-30 (both 2019) in achieving five-star Euro NCAP ratings.
