Mercedes-AMG E63 S Into 800-HP Missile
For the 2021 model year, the mighty Mercedes-AMG E63 S was updated with fresher styling and a revamped interior. Under the hood, however, the super sedan's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine was unchanged. But with 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque on tap, the E63 S is one of the most powerful four-door sedans in the world. That hasn't stopped German tuner Brabus from taking it to absurd new levels after recently spicing up the new S-Class.
To extract more performance from the venerable V8 unit, Brabus has fitted new turbochargers with a larger compressor unit, reinforced axial bearings, and a maximum boost pressure of 1.6 bar. Using a plug-and-play module, Brabus has also remapped the injection, ignition, and boost pressure control.
