Engine placement plays a big role in the dynamics of a vehicle, affecting weight distribution, moment of inertia, launch traction, acceleration traction, passenger space, and efficiency depending on the driven wheels used. Mid engine designs allow for an ideal weight balance, and have many advantages from a performance standpoint.
