New Skoda Octavia debuted at twenty thirteen (2013) Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Now, the Czech carmaker finally launched that same in India too. A starting price of thirteen lakh ninety five thousand Rupees ex-showroom Delhi is quoted for the entry level variant of one point four liter TSI petrol Active (1.4 TSI (petrol) Active). Meanwhile, the high end variant costs nineteen lakh forty five thousand for the two liter diesel automatic.
However, there are lots of cosmetic changes seen on the third generation Octavia. Specifically, head lights, tail lamps boot lid are some of them to be named as ‘New’. Hence, the Volkswagen’s new MQB platform is also been pinned underneath it, for deriving number of engine options to the twenty thirteen Octavia.
Well, despite being loaded with number of features and exclusive oomphs, the new car from Skoda remains a question. Is the audience of India ready to accept this vehicle as a household name due to its high maintenance costs?
