California-based startup Canoo has unveiled the MPDV (Multi-Purpose Delivery Vehicle) electric van.
The Canoo VAN electric MPDV is based on a modular skateboard platform (steel frame with an integrated lithium-ion battery) with an electric motor located on the front axle (203 hp and 320 Nm).
MPDV will be offered in three sizes - MPDV1, MPDV2 and MPDV3. So far, only the MPDV1 / MPDV2 light class are presented, both will be supplied with a 40, 60 and 80 kWh battery. The power reserve on one charge according to the EPA cycle is 209/145 km, 306/225 and 370/306 km, respectively. The carrying capacity, depending on the installed battery, is 698-857 / 598-798 kg, that is, a larger car carries less, and the total weight in all cases is 2600 kg.
Overall length of MPDV1 / MPDV2 - 4389/5212 mm, width - 1951/2195 mm, height - 1890/2560 mm. The wheelbase in both cases is 2865 mm, the ground clearance is 185 mm, and the loading height is 432 mm. Maximum body capacity of MPDV1 - 6.5 m3, MPDV2 - 14.1 m3.
