Nissan has taken the wraps of its new European mid-size van, the NV300. Replacing the Primastar, it competes with the Ford Transit Custom, Volkswagen Transporter, and Mercedes Vito (known as Metris in the U.S.). Like its predecessor, the NV300 is the product of a joint venture between the Renault-Nissan Alliance and GM Europe, that has also spawned the Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro and Renault Trafic. Fiat has also jumped on board for this second generation iteration, its version being called Talento. The NV300 is the last of the quadrumvirate to be launched. It differs from its siblings only in detail, notably the front end which carries Nissan’s signature “V-motion” grille. Inside, only the badge on the steering wheel marks it out.
