Nissan's motorsports history was dominated by twin-turbo V6's, inline 6's, and even turbo V8's, but did you know that Nissan once produced a formula 1 inspired 3.5L V12? Chances are, you've likely never heard of this car, and that's no surprise. The NP35 was built by NISMO and based on the P35 chassis that Nissan's North American-based motorsports team, NPTI developed for IMSA's Group C class. The NP35 was powered by a new 3.5L V12 engine producing a claimed 630hp and revving to 12,000 RPM.
