The PAL-V Liberty is the world's first production legal flying car on sale.
At the Geneva Motor Show 2019 Dutch company PAL-V unveiled the PAL-V Liberty Pioneer, world’s first production model flying car. The 90-piece limited edition is based on the PAL-V Liberty which was unveiled last year Geneva Motor Show.

It has 100 hp petrol engine that has maximum speed of 160 km/h on the road and 180 km/h in the air. It flies up to a maximum altitude of 3500m and has range up to 500 km.

The standard Liberty Sport model starts at $399,000/€299,000. The Pioneer Edition, which comes with added options and is limited to 90 vehicles, costs $599,000/€499,000. Both come with introductory training lessons and power heating, according to PAL-V’s website. Operators need a gyroplane pilot’s license to fly the vehicle.

To reserve a Liberty of your own, you will have to front a $10,000 or $25,000 nonrefundable deposit. The company is also accepting $2,500 refundable deposits to put customers on a waiting list.

PAL-V International B.V. is a Dutch company who are developing a roadable aircraft, the PAL-V ONE.
