The Seat Alhambra and the VW Sharan are the most popular large-capacity vans with sliding doors. The Alhambra is the sporty brother of the Sharan. The model tested starts just below 40,000 euros in Germany. Though it weighs 1.8 tons when empty, the Alhambra's fuel consumption is rated at 5.1 liters per 100 kilometers. But not if your driving style is sporty.
