The knock sensor present in AUDI’s engine is in charge of detecting early detonation and unwanted pre-ignition. Both pre-ignition and detonation happen due to abnormal combustion- can damage the engine permanently, if not fixed timely. A knock sensor in good shape can prevent engine knocking. But a faulty knock sensor can’t send the correct voltage to the PCM, and thereby causing irreplaceable engine damage. You will experience different drawbacks, once it becomes bad. Better you consult an AUDI technician and replace the knock sensor timely to prevent the engine performance from going low.
