The Porsche 911 is a german sport car produced by the manufacturer of Stuttgart since 1963 to be the first supercar of Porsche. Now at its seventh generation, it's probably the most famous supercar ever due its timeless design that makes it immortal.

The seventh generation has been named Porsche 991 and it was unveiled for the first time at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in the classic Carrera version, mounting a new 3.4 litre boxer engine with 350 hp and a 7-speed manual gearbox. The same year has been presented the 991 Carrera S, with a power of 400 hp.

Both the versions are avaiable in the convertible configuration since 2012, with the name of 991 Cabriolet. As is tradition, these aren't the only roofless models: in the 2014 indeed Porsche presented the Porsche 991 Targa, a special configuration equipped with an all-new roof technology with an all electric cabriolet roof along with the B-pillar and the glass dome at the rear. Three Targas are currently available: the 991 Targa 4, the 991 Targa 4S and the 991 Targa GTS (with 430 hp and a top speed of over 310 km/h).

At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show has been presented the Porsche 991 Turbo and Turbo S, with a new 3.8 litre twin-turbocharged engine which can develop 520 hp (560 hp the Turbo S) and 620 Nm of torque (750 Nm for the Turbo S).
Both vehicles have all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual clutch sequential trasmission, and go from 0 to 100 Km/h in less than 3.2 seconds with a max speed of over 320 Km/h.

At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show was unveiled the Porsche 991 GT3, an extreme version with a 3.8 litre which develops 475 hp and with a race kit that includes a big rear wing. This car goes from 0-100 Km/h in 3.5 seconds for a top speed of 315 Km/h. A powered version has been revealed 2 years later, the Porsche 991 GT3 RS, with a new 4.0 litre engine and with a power of 500 hp.

Many special editions have been made through the years, starting with the 991 Club Coupe. This exclusive production of 13 units in a deep green finiture has been made to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first Porsche Club.

At the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show they unveiled the Porsche 991 50th Anniversary, a limited edition of 1963 examples
with special 20" wheels and a white paint.

To celebrate the Porsche's return at the 24h of LeMans they produced the 991 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition, with a racing bodykit, the Martini livery and special rims (80 units made).

The Porsche 991 was titled World Performance Car 2012 shortly after famed Porsche designer Ferdinand Alexander Porsche died. The GT3 was awarded the title of World Performance Car Of The Year in 2014.

At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show was unveiled the Porsche 991 GT3 RS, with a 4.0 litre and 500 hp. The same year all the models have received an MkII restyling with new led light and exhaust.
