Twenty years after Peugeot ended production of the 205 GTi, it has unveiled its successor, the 208 GTi with a view to building on the 205's success. The 208 GTi's 147-kilowatt gasoline-powered engine takes it from zero to 100 kph in just 6.8 seconds, with a maximum speed of 230 kph. Peugeot rates the GTi's fuel consumption at an optimistic 5.9 liters per 100 kilometers.Drive it! took the sportster out for a test drive.
