Sometimes we don't know what's good for us ???? the Airflow was a revolutionary car in its time. It was really the first automobile to focus on streamlining and aerodynamics. The Wright brothers assisted Chrysler in the creation their wind tunnel.
They found that the then current two-box car body design was not at all aerodynamic ???? and applied their findings into creating a unibody design for the Airflow. The Airflow was one of the early unibody cars on the market with a near 50/50 weight distribution which improved handling dynamics. But all that good design didn't make the customers buy it. ????????‍♀️
I got to see this DeSoto Airflow at the Las Vegas Concours a weekend ago and funny enough I remember the first time I saw an Airflow (Chrysler) was at the Museum of Speed in Sanford, Florida.
