The Sono Sion Solar Electric Car Came To North America - So We Had to Check It Out!

We've covered a LOT of cars on the channel this year that are well above the average new price paid for a vehicle today. In fact, we'd estimate that of the case we've covered or reviewed, about 75% are well above the $40,000 price point.

So when we were given a chance to visit Los Angles and experience the Sono Sion first hand - a car that is not only marketed to be one of the most affordable cars coming to market but also one that will charge itself using its solar-panel infused body -- we couldn't say no.

Sadly, because of regulatory restrictions, we weren't able to drive the Sono Sion ourselves, or indeed ride in it on the public road. But we were able to chat to the company CEO and founder Laurin Hahn, and take a quick ride around an adjacent parking lot!
