United States Grand Prix - A mix of the nicest corners

“The Circuit of Americas is very interesting, because it’s been designed bringing together the best corners from various other tracks,” Scuderia Ferrari’s third driver Esteban Gutiérrez told. “A very steep hill leads up to the first corner, which is followed by a sequence of corners that are reminiscent of Becketts at Silverstone, but a bit longer. Then, for example, the long sequence of turns, 16, 17 and 18 are like the long corner at the Istanbul circuit in Turkey. However, my favourite part is the first sector, because it also has some very slow corners and that makes finding the best set-up for the car more complicated”.

Alla prima tornata c’è una salita molto ripida seguita da una sequenza di curve che ricordano le Becketts di Silverstone, ma un po’ più lunghe. Poi, ad esempio, la lunga sequenza di curve 16, 17 e 18 ricorda il circuito turco di Istanbul. La mia parte preferita è il primo settore comunque, perché è molto veloce. Nel secondo e terzo, però, ci sono anche curve molto lente e questo rende più complicato trovare l’assetto ottimale per la vettura”.
