In this exclusive video interview with Car Dealer, Cap HPI’s director of valuations Derren Martin reveals the latest used car prices for November 2022. He says trade prices have dropped by 1.2 per cent with electric cars particularly badly hit.

However, the used car price fall was a far better performance than usually seen in November when used car prices traditionally drop around three per cent.

Martin tells Car Dealer editor James Baggott that there is 'no dramatic drop' coming and explains why electric cars are being particularly badly hit.

Martin discusses what Cap HPI is predicting will happen next for used car prices and what he thinks a recession could mean for the second hand car market.
