Bien que la Peugeot 208 Hybrid FE n'ai pas vocation à être produite, ce démonstrateur technologique est des plus réalistes. L'objectif fixé des 49-8 (49 g de CO2 par km et 8 secondes de 0 à 100 km/h) a été dépassé puisque l'Hybrid FE atteint 46 g/km, soit 1,9 l aux 100 km.
