The 2025 Volvo EX30 is looking to make a big statement. As its name suggests, the all-new small SUV is yet another fully electric vehicle from the Swedish firm, which is in the midst of becoming a zero-emissions car brand in Australia by 2026. So, needless to say, expectations are very high.
As such, the EX30 is out to impress with its sharp pricing, which impressed upon its reveal. But there's more to the Alfa Romeo Junior Eletricca rival than just its upfront cost, with Single Motor Extended Range versions motivated by a 200kW/343Nm rear-mounted electric motor, while the Twin Motor Performance adds a front-mounted e-motor for a combined 315kW/543Nm. Both are fitted with a 69.0kWh battery that delivers 480km of driving range in the former and 460km in the latter.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Managing Editor Tim Nicholson spends a week living the high-spec Single Motor Extended Range Ultra to find out how well it stacks up in the real world.
