After Mercedes-Benz G-Class, it was the Jeep Wrangler to have been copied by Chinese. Named as Beijing Auto’s BJ40, it is the versatile copy of American off-roader Jeep Wrangler.
Needed not to mention, how cool Chinese are in copying the world products, and now they hadn’t left the automobiles even.
To be a bit precise, the BJ40 was actually announced in 2009 and was presented in flesh at 2010 Shanghai Auto Show, but this year’s Beijing Auto Show marks its market launch.
Hopefully, on looks, it may pose as strong replica to Jeep Wrangler, but the naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder under hoods, feeds traction to all its starving all four wheels with 271 Nm of torque. And in China, BJ40 is priced approximately three times less than a Wrangler. So this definitely it looks a good option to have it for off-road…
