Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC) is one of the largest groups in the automotive industry in China. It currently has 130,000 employees and 12 factories where it produces more than two million units annually, establishing itself as the leading producer of electric vehicles in China. It has manufactured or manufactures models from Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, Chrysler, Jeep and General Motors to supply the local Chinese market. Their own cars use technologies and platforms that mainly come from Mercedes Benz and Saab, with engines from both the Swedish manufacturer and Mitsubishi. Among the 20 models it currently produces, it has combustion, hybrid or electric engines.
