Several reports have claimed that Tata Altroz EV will be priced over Rs 10-14 lakh.

It will get a permanent magnet AC motor with single speed gearbox.
The targeted range is 250-300 kms for the electric vehicle.

For Tata Motors, the 89th Geneva International Motor Show has been nothing short of spectacular. On March 5, the company premiered five products -- Altroz, Altroz EV, Buzzard, Buzzard Sport and H2X Concept. Talking about the hatchbacks, while Altroz will be commercially launched in mid-2019, Altroz EV is expected to be introduced in less than two years.

Tata Altroz EV has been engineered on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) Architecture. With lightweight, modular and flexible characteristics, the new platform allows the manufacturing of multiple body styles with a choice of powertrains, including gasoline, diesel or full electric.

Several reports have claimed that Tata Altroz EV will be priced over Rs 10 lakh. However, these are only claims. Everything will be clear only when the company comes out with an official announcement. As of now, Tata Motors has revealed the technical specifications of Altroz EV. Below are the important details.

Tata Motors is claiming that Altroz EV will have an energy efficient powertrain unit along with a high energy density battery pack offering a superior range. It will get a sporty silhoutte, athletic stance and aerodynamic lines. There will be signature humanity line accentuated by dual ultra slim LED headlamps and digitally inspired lower grille.

The side profile of Tata Altroz EV will feature a unique arrowhead forming at the intersection of the A pillar with the front door flowing into the one of a kind comet tail like swoosh element along the window line.

The interiors of Tata Altroz EV have been laid out like a modern aero command center with a seamless cockpit-like theme connected from end-to-end. There will be use of large coloured displays, enhanced haptics and premium material.
